Cookie Policy

Which cookies and which browser-stored data the stressindex.io website, operated by The Performance Lab S.r.l., uses.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor's browser to recognize them on their next visit or to remember a choice. Besides cookies, a website can also store information in other browser storage areas (localStorage), which stay on the device and are not sent to the server. This page describes what the stressindex.io website and its Professional Area do. The Stress Index mobile app does not use cookies; the processing of its data is described in the Privacy Notice.

Technical cookies used by the website

[DA COMPLETARE CON IL LEGALE] The website only uses technical cookies, which are necessary for the pages to work or to store an explicit choice made by the visitor. No consent is required for these cookies. • PROFESSIONAL AREA SESSION: cookies with the "sb-" prefix set by Supabase (the authentication service) when the professional signs in to the reserved area. They contain the session token, keep you signed in and are removed when you sign out. They are not set for visitors who only browse the public pages. • LANGUAGE: the "NEXT_LOCALE" cookie, set when you choose a language from the switcher (IT / EN / DE). It remembers your preferred language for 12 months. No other cookies are set by the website.

Preferences stored in the browser

In the Professional Area some chart display preferences (time range, metrics shown, hidden series) are saved in the browser's localStorage so that you find them again on your next visit. This information stays on your device, contains no personal data or measurements and is not sent to the server. It is removed by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

Technical error detection

[DA COMPLETARE CON IL LEGALE] To notice malfunctions, the website automatically sends a report to Sentry when a technical error occurs. This service does not set cookies and does not track browsing: it collects the type of error, the point in the program where it occurred, the website version and the browser type, together with an anonymous account identifier. Name, email, measurements and notes are not sent. The details (data processed, storage in the European Union, 90-day retention) are in the section "Technical error detection" of the Privacy Notice.

No profiling or advertising cookies

The website does not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or traffic analytics tools that identify the visitor. There are no third-party cookies for social networks or advertising campaigns. For this reason the website does not show a consent banner: none of the cookies used requires one. If tools requiring consent are introduced in the future, this page will be updated and consent will be requested before they are activated.

How to manage cookies in your browser

You can view, block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings (usually under "Privacy and security" or "Site data"). Instructions are available in the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Please note that if you block technical cookies, signing in to the Professional Area will not work: without the session cookie you cannot stay signed in. If you delete the "NEXT_LOCALE" cookie, the website will again suggest the language based on your browser settings.

Updates to this page

This Cookie Policy may be updated when the cookies or tools used by the website change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For questions, write to support@stressindex.io.
